The District Church
THOUGHTS FROM TRUDY:
We made many great friendships during our time living in
Richmond, Virginia. Often, we would invite the young people from
our church over to the house for events, or just to hang out.
Through this, we got to know a young man named Aaron Graham and
then started a great relationship with his family. Aaron Graham is
a tall, personable and very passionate man. He's always been
concerned with the well being of others - specifically for people
who find themselves on the outskirts of society.
We attended Aaron's graduation from the University of Richmond
and watched as he left home on a mission to minister to the needs
of people in the city of Boston. We had the privilege to worship
with members of the missional church he started in a low-income
community of Boston while pursuing his degree from Harvard's
Kennedy School. After moving to Washington, DC, Aaron and his wife
Amy began ministering to people of the District Church.
He is actively helping people find their way back to God, and I
would encourage you - if you find yourself in the DC area - to take
advantage of the opportunity to visit and be inspired by the
example of this young man and his ministry to this community.
