I am honored and humbled to serve on the Board of Trustees at Morehouse College. If you are not familiar with this amazing Atlanta institution, the following video is a great introduction:

Morehouse President, Dr. Robert Franklin, is a dear friend and a huge influence in my life and in the way I view leadership. He is the tenth President of Morehouse, and follows a long-standing tradition in masterfully guiding and leading the college toward excellence.

We have a legitimate crisis among all cultures in America that is not being sufficiently addressed and is negatively affecting our families and home life. Unfortunately, the African American community is suffering more than most when it comes to single parent homes, incarcerations, homelessness, joblessness and poverty. It seems that America has moved from a society based on moral absolutes, to a system defined by ethical relativism, but not at Morehouse College. Morehouse is a beacon of light in the midst of what seems to be a gloomy forecast.

The Morehouse College mission is to produce academically superior, morally conscious leaders for the conditions and issues of today, and their goal is to be the finest liberal arts college in the nation. Period. Not just the finest historically black college, or Southern institution, or institution with similar enrollments and backgrounds. Morehouse is seeking to be the finest liberal arts college... Period.
