Curiosity - Conversation - Action - Change...

Today, the Chick-fil-A Home Office has been shoeless. We accepted the One Day Without Shoes challenge issued by TOMS Shoes, and it has been an incredible experience.

Almost all of our corporate staff have been walking around all day without shoes on their feet. It's quite a sight to see men in suits and ladies in dresses walking throughout our offices barefoot, but that's not really the point.

TOMS Shoes issued the challenge for people to "go shoeless" today in order to raise awareness for the millions of kids that don't have them and the countless opportunities we all have to make a difference in the lives of others all over the world.

Not only do I love the fact that TOMS has created this opportunity to get involved with their relief efforts, I also love the ways in which they are creating awareness. As the One Day Without Shoes website states: curiosity leads to conversation; conversation leads to action... and action creates change.

As a part of the barefoot initiative, our corporate employees also donated hundreds of pairs of new and slightly used shoes to give to local groups in the Atlanta area. I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of others today, but also by the insight I have been given as it relates to the needs of others all over the world.

it's not too late for you to get involved. Go shoeless and help start a conversation that will help change the lives of children in need.
